Cyberpunk 2077 Third-Person Mode Horrifies Players, It’s the Stuff of Nightmares

Well, it would definitely intimidate enemies

The discussion on whether Cyberpunk 2077 should have included a third-person mode or not has been taking place since the game was first released back in 2020.

As it stands, the CD Projekt RED RPG can only be experienced in first-person but that has not stopped some modders from trying to add the much-debated third-person mode to the mix.

However, with Cyberpunk 2077 not supporting this, it is safe to say that these mods do not always work out as a recent video posted on r/cyberpunkgame proved.

“Why there is no 3rd person in Cyberpunk 2077,” the post reads alongside a short video of a modded V running around Night City in various states of distress.

We see her clumsily takedown a police officer, run around Naruto-style with Mantis Blades equipped and wielding a katana by stabbing it directly through their shoulder.

The crouching animation also leaves a lot to the imagination and there is no doubt that the video makes for some entertaining viewing.

“The fact that V has been Naruto running with Mantis Blades is unbelievably hilarious,” user ExtraBreadPls shared.

“I mean... depending on who you are (me), this is a perfect reason for 3rd person!” Another user added.

However, jokes aside, with CD Projekt RED not programming Cyberpunk 2077 to feature a third-person mode, it makes sense that there are no built-in animations for it. After all, why would you include something that people are never going to see?

There are plenty of third-person mods out there but with many still featuring clunky animations, it makes sense to just enjoy the game it was meant to be and who knows? Cyberpunk 2 may just feature the highly debated after mode.

For now, players will have to make do with Naruto running through Night City which, if nothing else, will make for some hilarious clips.
