If you’re under the impression that you’ve seen all there is to within Night City, you thought wrong.

CD Projekt RED recently surfaced to say that plenty of secrets remain undiscovered in Cyberpunk 2077 which means we’re all going to have to embark on a fresh playthrough.

Of course, as new discoveries are made, we’ll be sure to share them here so that you can check them out for yourself.

One player previously unearthed a secret escape route that leads out of Night City and while this may be something you’re aware of, I’m imagining a fair few of you won’t be.

CD Projekt RED is busy beavering away on The Witcher IV.

This discovery was made by YouTuber The Golden Neck who titled the video, “It took me four years to realise you could just do this.”

As I’m sure you’ll know, attempting to leave Night City will result in your death … unless you use The Golden Neck’s method.

You’ll want to head to a specific location in the Badlands, indicated in the YouTuber’s tutorial below.

Hop into the Cyberware menu and equip Fortified Ankles and you’ll be able to use charge jumps to climb the border crossing point.

Once you’re past the border, run for a short period before recalling your bike and you’re free, my friend.

You can now explore the game’s wider map at leisure.

“It’s amazing how much stuff there is in this game that they had to cut out. They still have a lot of the map logic setup out there,” added one viewer.

“This is the one thing about this game that I wasn't a fan of. If you play the Nomad path, then you actually start outside of the city. So it is developed out there. At least for a little ways. So there shouldn't be a reason why you can't go back,” wrote another.

“Dammit I can't leave, Night City be calling me,” one comment read.

I feel you on that front. Something always draws me back to this game.
