Cyberpunk 2077 Has a Hidden Route Out of Night City You Definitely Missed

But why would you want to leave?

Night City is widely regarded as one of the best video game settings of all time but if, for some reason, you want to leave it, one player has discovered a route you will have definitely missed.

Unveiled for the first time in 2020’s Cyberpunk 2077, Night City is one of the most recognisable fictional settings of all time thanks to the success of the CD Projekt RED RPG.

The neon-soaked city is the home to V’s futuristic escapades and despite the horrors that lurk beneath the beautiful facade, there is no denying that it is a location that many love to return to.

With some players booting up a Cyberpunk 2077 save just to cruise around the streets of Night City, it seems strange that others would want to leave it.

However, that was most certainly the case for The Golden Neck on Youtube.

In a tutorial video shared to their Youtube page, The Golden Neck shows viewers the only way they can leave Night City without being hit with a “turn back” screen.

Up until now, attempting to take the long road out of Night City will see you attacked and eventually flatlined but by implementing one in-game feature, you can use a bit of parkour to your advantage.

In the video, we can see how heading to a particular location and equipping the Fortified Ankles cyberware will allow you to climb above the otherwise guarded checkpoint out of the city.

If done properly, you will be able to climb up and over and eventually land safely on the other side.

Once here, you can summon your vehicle of choice and continue driving out of Night City without having to face the guards and/or the flatline screen.

It is unclear how much of the city outskirts you will be able to explore before the map cuts out, but judging from the video, you can explore pretty far and see what awaits you.

Not only that but standing atop the checkpoint will give you a pretty good view of Night City and remind you that you may not even want to leave.

“It took me 4 years to realise you could just do this…,” the Youtube video is titled.

“Drive long enough and it takes you to Los Santos,” and “drive away until you reach Morning City,” users in the comments joked.

However, a fellow fan summed it up when they said, "I've played this game five times and didn't even think about leaving Night City lol.”

So if you ever get the urge to go beyond the limits in Cyberpunk 2077, make sure you take advantage of this neat little trick.
