Cyberpunk 2077 has a hidden mission you probably missed

Avenge him

Cyberpunk 2077 is a game that’s made to be replayed, and it’s worth replaying for the sole purpose of completing this secret mission.

There are so many interesting characters in Cyberpunk 2077, many of which you can love, hate or despise more than anything like Adam Smasher.

If you watched the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime, you’ll likely hate him even more

While you encounter him as a boss towards the end of the game this encounter can be made so much more satisfying after completing a secret mission, where you can acquire two necessary items before entering Adam’s boss arena.

In a Reddit thread by lilticktack, the user stated “Just finished Edgerunners. I’m going to buy the game for the sole purpose of killing Adam Smasher.”

They then asked what references or Easter eggs can be found in the game relating to the anime, to which one commenter reminded fans that you can do a secret mission that “culminates in you getting David’s jacket.”

Another comment added you can “find Rebecca's shotgun near the Arasaka tower/memorial area.”

Grab both of these items (and have the right kind of character build) and you’ll really give Adam a piece of your mind, and of course avenge a beloved character.

Interestingly Adam Smasher’s voice actor, and star of Still Wakes The Deep, Alec Newman has expressed interest in reprising the role of Adam at some point in the future.

This would have to be through a prequel of course, but with plenty of Johnny Silverhand’s story left untold, a prequel game where you play as Johnny for the entire duration would actually be pretty interesting, and it’d flesh out the relationship/rivalry between himself and Adam Smasher.

So next time you play Cyberpunk 2077 at least grab yourself David’s jacket, and proudly wear it as you’re tearing Adam apart.
