Cyberpunk 2077's prologue has a massive secret we all missed

Perks of the rich and famous

After over 100 hours, a Cyberpunk 2077 player discovers a massive secret during the prologue that we all probably missed.

Despite launching in a bit of a state, developers CD Projekt RED worked tirelessly to not only fix the many issues of Cyberpunk 2077 but also added a ton of new improvements and features to the game, arguably overdelivering to the delight of fans.

“Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure RPG set in the megalopolis of Night City, where you play as a cyberpunk mercenary wrapped up in a do-or-die fight for survival,” reads the synopsis of the game.

When starting a new campaign in Cyberpunk 2077, players can choose three Life Paths, which not only add a different backstory to the V character, but each comes with unique skills, abilities and dialogue choices.

The three Life Path choices are Nomad, Street Kid and Corpo. For the topic of today’s story, it’s all about the Corpo Life Path, and this secret is only available during the introduction section of the story.

“Fifth playthrough and I’m still stunned and in utter disbelief,” said Reddior ERYStrippinlikeballz. “I’ve played Corpo V twice, both playthroughs at 70 hours each. But I never checked out V’s terminal at Arasaka Counter-Intel.”

“There’s a Truma Card. I always wondered that V, being a Corpo, they must 100% have a Trauma Card. Always felt that it was a missed opportunity to never mention it throughout the story.”

“Does a Trauma Card even do anything?” asked humantrasbag, to which Bulatzi replied, “Nope. You get laid off before anything happens.”

A Trauma Card is basically health insurance for the rich in Night City. If you get severely injured, it can be used to instantly call an emergency response team. In-story, it has three tiers, Silver, Gold and Platinum. The higher the tier, the better the care.

Cyberpunk 2077 and its Phantom Liberty expansion are out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2.
