Cyberpunk 2077 new update stuns fans: 'why won't they stop'

Cyberpunk 2077 keeps improving!

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to receive yet another update for the ever-improving sci-fi RPG from CD Projekt RED.

We all know that Cyberpunk 2077 launched in one heck of a state in December 2020 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia (remember that?), so much so that it was unplayable for many due to its bugs as well as performance issues.

Sure, the experience probably wasn't as bad for those playing on high-end PCs, but for us console folk, it was most certainly not the experience CD Projekt RED had promised before its highly anticipated launch.

To the credit of CDPR, the Polish studio has worked tirelessly to deliver on its original promise, and it’s probably fair to say that Cyberpunk 2077 is now the game we all hoped it would be.

Not only have we had the free new-gen update on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but it’s been treated with a plethora of content updates ever since and, in some ways, has overdelivered on what many fans expected.

It seems that with every new content update for Cyberpunk 2077, CDPR tells us it's the last major piece of support and then months later, another one arrives. Not that we’re complaining, of course.

Now, it looks like a new update is on the way, dubbed “Cyberpunk 2.3” as initially teased by CDPR community manager, Marcin Momot.

“We’re not done yet! Stay tuned for more info about the next Cyberpunk 2077 update coming later this month,” tweeted the community manager.

“We’ll start spilling the beans closer to the release of patch 2.3 (that’s its name), so for now, we ask for a bit more patience. Let the team cook!”

“We have been cooking for you in secret for a bit,” retweeted CDPR associate game director, Pawe Sasko.

It’s great news that CDPR continues to improve Cyberpunk 2077, because it would have been easy to be done with the game long ago, especially with The Witcher 4 on the horizon.

“Man, I just want to start my playthrough when this game is done updating. BUT THEY WONT STOP,” exclaimed Bryent, replying to Culture Crave.

“And just when I thought I was finished… they bring me back in,” replied VHS_os.

“I thought they said no more DLC,” said Masterolive.

“CDPR, kings of one last update,” declared sarah_denunzio.

We’ll, of course, let you know when the upcoming update drops for Cyberpunk 2077 in the coming days.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
