Cyberpunk 2077 fans can check out a new Edgerunners gameplay expansion now

Not ready to say farewell to Night City? Well, thanks to this expansion you don’t have to just yet.

Despite CD Projekt Red purportedly being done with Cyberpunk 2077, it seems none of us are quite ready to stop playing.

There are multiple ways you can savour the hum of neon energy – from the new ending that’s quietly been added, to the various fan-made mods available.

If neither of those options suit you, though, there’s also a new Edgerunners expansion available right now.

This “standalone box set” is designed to allow you to take charge of Night City’s stories rather than be ruled by them.

As its description reads, “With the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Mission Kit, you’ll tell your own tale full of explosive action, intriguing investigation, and colourful characters.”

Moreover, “You’ll take on all comers, from the gangs to the megacorps, and carve your legacy onto The Street for all to see.”

You’ll do this, not via your consoles or PC, but through the magic of tabletop gaming; we’re going old school for this experience!

Included in this “mission kit” are the following:

• The Edgerunners Handbook: Full of world lore curated to give you the details you need to survive in Night City.
• The Rules: Exactly what you need to play the game, from Friday Night Firefights to 2070-era guns, cyberware, and quickhacks.
• The Jacket: A full-length mission for your Crew to play. Find out what happens after the anime ends.
• Seven Edgerunners: Pre-made to let you jump into the action. Featuring art by Cyberpunk: Edgerunners director Hiroyuki Imaishi.
• A set of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners-themed dice (two d10s and four d6s).
• Maps, standees, and tokens to help bring the world of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners to life.

Eager to play? According to the information given, this tabletop adventure launched 21 June; however, the physical copies have only just started being shipped today.
