Cyberpunk 2077's free graphics update makes it one of the best-looking games we've ever seen

Cyberpunk 2077's free graphics update makes it one of the best-looking games we've ever seen

I can't believe my eyes

Cyberpunk 2077's long-awaited Phantom Liberty expansion is mere days away, and comes packed with new story content and a ton of gameplay tweaks and enhancements.

The best news about Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is that most of the overhauled gameplay mechanics and content are officially available to download for free tomorrow as part of the massive Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update. This won't include any of the story missions or new area seen in Phantom Liberty, but you'll get a ton of new items and overall improvements that make the RPG feel like a brand new game.

One of the biggest and most notable enhancements is a near-total graphical overhaul, which you can see below!

Alongside all the other new features coming in Phantom Liberty, PC players will be able to enjoy support for NVIDIA's impressive DLSS 3.5, the new AI-powered upscaling tech that manages to make gorgeous games look even better than before.

DLSS 3.5's big new feature is called Ray Reconstruction, which basically uses AI to improve ray-traced parts of a game and make it feel that much more realistic. NVIDIA explains it "replaces hand-tuned denoisers, which resolve sampled rays in a scene, with an NVIDIA supercomputer-trained AI network that generates higher-quality pixels in between sampled rays."

If all of that is completely alien to you, all you need to know is it will make your experience in Night City look so much better. In fact, having seen a demo at Gamescom last month, I'd go so far as to say it makes Cyberpunk 2077 one of the best-looking video games I've ever seen.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty drops 26 September, one week after Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 goes live. We'll have a full review for you on GAMINGbible later today, so stay tuned. Or don't. It's really up to you, choom.
