Cyberpunk 2077 has just received a free content update, and fans are divided.
If there was ever a game that could be described as a phoenix rising from the ashes, CD Projekt RED’s sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077 would be a strong contender, perhaps only alongside No Man’s Sky from Hello Games.
Cyberpunk 2077 was released in such a bad state in 2020 on PlayStation 4 that Sony removed it from the PlayStation Store for roughly six months until it was deemed somewhat worthy for sale.
Granted, from what I hear, you’re still best avoiding Cyberpunk 2077 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S at least, it’s pretty much become the game CDPR promised it would be all those years ago.

Hopefully, lessons will be learned and history will not repeat itself when The Witcher 4 decides to grace us with its presence, whenever that may be. Until then, CDPR is still working tirelessly to improve the experience of Cyberpunk 2077.
Earlier this week, Update 2.3 went live on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S for Cyberpunk 2077, bringing new missions, customisation options, vehicle features, and much more.
However, for whatever reason, not everyone is happy with the latest free content update for Cyberpunk 2077, finding it a tad lacking in, well, content.
In a lengthy post, Redditor BlackLyrium went on a justified rant at some of the unhappy Cyberpunk 2077 community. I’ve seen some of the comments myself, with those displeased that not every feature they wanted has been implemented in Update 2.3.

We don't know whether CD Projekt RED is already working on an update to bring even more fan requests to Cyberpunk 2077, but it’s probably fair to say that it would be practically an impossible task to grant everyone’s wish in a single update.
“If you can expect the Cyberpunk community to do one thing, it should be that it'll overhype itself into low orbit. The writing has been on the wall for MONTHS now, major updates are done,” exclaimed Penguini_Lamborghini.
“Yeah, they said it'd be similar to 2.2....what were they really expecting? A Phantom Liberty-sized update?” replied Responsible-Durian21.
“The update is pretty much exactly what I expected it to be. New cars are a surprise, though, and I'm plenty happy about that,” said WickedFox1o1.

“I'm once again reminded why engaging with the online community for a game you love is a massive mistake,” claimed JayNines, to which Delux_Takeover replied, “Not always. You just gotta pick and choose your conversations. I've met a lot of cool people that way.”
Cyberpunk 2077 is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch 2.
