Earlier this week saw the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account share a cryptic post and with the five-year anniversary of the hit RPG taking place very soon, it led some fans to believe that a content update may be on the way.
Shared on Twitter on 1 December, the official Cyberpunk 2077 account posted the following cryptic message:
“SECURE COMMS CHANNEL ESTABLISHED.
STANDBY FOR INCOMING PRIORITY TRANSMISSION…
Advert
"CYBERPUNK 2077 — 10.12
"REED, SOLOMON — 12.12
"SONG, SO MI — 29.12
"END OF TRANSMISSION.”
As you can imagine, the Cyberpunk 2077 community soon jumped on the update, believing that it could be a hint at some future content.

Released back on 10 December 2020, it has almost been five-years since the hit CD Projekt RED RPG launched and as with many big milestones, the possibility of an update shared in celebration is always viable.
So you can forgive fans for thinking that this was the case for the cryptic social media post.
However, it seems as though our hopes have been shattered once more following an update from CDPR’s global community director Marcin Momot.
Cyberpunk 2077 Hopes Shattered
In response to the cryptic message, Momot wrote: "We’re not teasing anything. This is our monthly post announcing character birthdays, which we publish every 30 days.
“This time we also included the game’s anniversary info, but it’s not a teaser. Hope this clears things up!"
Of course these are dates! How did we not see this?
Well, with Cyberpunk 2077 now being regarded as one of the best video game releases of all time, it is no wonder that fans are eager for more, especially with Cyberpunk 2 not expected to launch until 2028 at the latest.
However, it is not all doom and gloom for those who still live in hope.
It is worth remembering that this year’s The Game Awards takes place just a day after Cyberpunk 2077’s five-year anniversary and although CDPR has shared that The Witcher 4 will not be present, it has said nothing about Cyberpunk 2077…
Of course, this is just speculation but it would definitely make for an exciting event.
