Cyberpunk 2077 achieved the impossible.
It’s now widely considered to be one of the greatest RPGs of all-time; in fact, it’s almost too easy to forget that it was one of the industry’s greatest failures upon release.
You’ve got to hand it to CD Projekt RED though.

The studio worked tirelessly over several years to bring Cyberpunk 2077 in line with its original vision - and what a treat it is to play now.
Cyberpunk 2077 has received a ton of post-launch content in recent years, from Update 2.0 to the critically-acclaimed Phantom Liberty DLC.
Originally, Cyberpunk was due to receive a second DLC but this was eventually cancelled; I suppose because developers had spent so much time improving the game elsewhere.
It’s not the end of the road for Cyberpunk 2077 though as its sequel, codenamed Project Orion, is in the works.

In the meantime, I can tease what that second cancelled DLC would’ve had in store as details pertaining to it previously leaked online.
Cyberpunk 2077 will soon launch on the Nintendo Switch 2.
As previously reported by Insider Gaming, the cancelled DLC would’ve seemingly been set on the moon.

Images from the project leaked online, revealing concept art, blueprints, and map-based data all relating to the moon, suggesting that the DLC would’ve been an out-of-map expansion.
It’s believed that the colonised moon was originally intended to be a base game location before it was cut for being too ambitious.
I have to say, I don’t think the base game is lacking because of the cut. Night City has enough to offer.
That being said, would I have liked to have explored this location in an expansion? Hell yeah, I would.

Of course, we could see the idea recycled in Project Orion. It’s definitely something fans would like to see revisited.
“It sounds like this might have actually taken place after the main story? I would have been kind of interested to see where that went,” wrote GeekdomCentral on Reddit.
“I hope they use some of the ideas like this that they were planning for the DLC for the sequel,” added n080dy123.
“Probably a good thing they canned it. I really couldn't see V going to the moon working out with the, ‘I'm literally days away from death’ plot, and would have cheapened the Sun ending's Space Heist scene. Plus, it's a good thing to save for the sequel,” commented hotchocletlesbian, and I’m inclined to agree.

I’m sure CDPR is cooking up something special with Project Orion, although The Witcher IV remains the studio’s focus for now.
