It’s possible that Cyberpunk 2077 could be getting some new DLC, according to a new rumour.

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the biggest RPGs of the current generation.

Although it got off to a rough start, CD Projekt Red slowly updated it to reach its initial promise.

This was followed in 2023 by Phantom Liberty, a big expansion which added a new district and questline to Night City, as well as featuring Idris Elba’s Solomon Reed to the game.

The expansion was well-received by fans, and it’s now become one of the most popular games to play on current-gen hardware.

Although Phantom Liberty was intended to be the only expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, it looks like it could be getting a new DLC courtesy of a job update on LinkedIn.

As spotted by the Cyberpunk 2077 Reddit page, Virtuos senior writer Doug Van Horne updated his LinkedIn page to mention “Cyberpunk 2077 DLC” and that he’s worked on multiple side quests for the game (thanks, PushSquare).

Virtuos is the studio that co-developed Update 2.2 with CD Projekt Red, and has been contracted for future updates to the game, so it’s possible the studio is working on a bigger DLC for the game if this job update is to be believed.

Considering we already know the company was selected to work on future updates to the game, it makes sense that Virtuos could also work on new story and quest content.

With CD Projekt Red setting its sights on multiple new upcoming games, including The Witcher 4, Cyberpunk 2, and other unannounced projects, it sounds like Virtuos may get a little more freedom in developing for Cyberpunk 2077.

In addition to this, Virtuos operates as a support studio for other AAA developers. Its credits include Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Hogwarts Legacy, and the recently-remastered The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

It’ll also be working on the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater with Konami, which is set for release on 28th August, 2025.
