There is no denying that the world of Cyberpunk 2077 has become a cultural phenomenon with books, anime series and crossovers being released as a result of the RPG’s popularity.
Well, it is yet another crossover that is making headlines this month as one beloved character from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is making their way over to Guilty Gear Strive.
For those who are yet to see it (and seriously, why not?), Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a Netflix anime series set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077.
Airing back in 2022 and with a second season on the way, it follows the story of a street kid called David who must learn how to survive in a technology and body-modification-obsessed future.

After finding himself becoming an Edgerunner, a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk, David soon sets sights on fellow Edgerunner Lucy and it is this beloved character who has made her way to the world of Guilty Gear Strive.
Joining the roster as a guest character following its recent 1.48 patch, Lucy will now be a playable character in Guilty Gear Strive and she comes alongside some heartbreaking mementos from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Although she is the only character to join the roster, avatars based on herself, David, and Rebecca will also be available but most excitingly, many songs from Cyberpunk: Edgerunner’s soundtrack will also play in the background whilst Lucy fights.
This includes Chippin’ In by Johnny Silverhand’s band Samurai, Never Fade Away and of course, I Really Want to Stay at Your House by Rosa Walton.

Fans of the anime will know that the latter song comes with a whole lot of tears so be prepared to fight through watery eyes if this song comes on.
However, it seems as though you won’t have to put up with the heartbreak for long as, according to Guilty Gear Strive’s patch notes, I Really Want to Stay at Your House will only be available for a limited time but don’t worry, it will be some time in 2027.
Guilty Gear Strive patch 1.48 is now live and so players can lock in Lucy and get some payback for the trauma left behind by Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
