One of the most underrated video games of the last decade is currently completely free to download and keep, and I would urge you to get it.
Imagine Cyberpunk 2077 had a baby with Assassin's Creed and Mirror's Edge. Don't think about how the logistics of three video games making baby, just go with it and imagine the result. Sounds awesome, right? Reader, it is awesome. And now it's free.

If you've never heard of Ghostrunner then you are missing out. Released backed in 2020, it's an ultra-slick first-person parkour action game set in a cyberpunk city. One hit is all it takes to kill you, so the emphasis is on chaining together attacks and movements to cut a bloody and impressive swathe through whatever obstacles lie in your way.
"Ghostrunner offers a unique single-player experience: fast-paced, violent combat, and an original setting that blends science fiction with post-apocalyptic themes. It tells the story of a world that has already ended and its inhabitants who fight to survive," reads the game's description.
A sequel actually released in 2023 which I absolutely loved, but I'd definitely advise you to start with the first game. Especially since it's free. The only catch is this is Epic's latest free game in a long list of giveaways, which means you actually only have until 4pm GMT today (1 January).
