Who in their right mind would challenge Batman to a fight? Or Patrick Bateman for that matter? Or a man who has embodied them both on the big screen?
In a new interview Christian Bale explained that he once attempted to confront a hater who had threatened him while making the critically acclaimed American Psycho - and was actually disappointed when his aggressor never showed up.
Speaking to GQ in a wide-ranging new interview, Bale recalled the time that someone had threatened to meet him at a specific location and attack him. So obviously, Bale decided to go to the specified location and take the threat head-on.

“I remember somebody warned me, must have been a friend of mine who was crazy early on the internet,” Bale said. “He called me up and said ‘There’s some person and they know where you walk every day and you go down this back alley, and they say they’re going to jump on you and rip your cerebral cortex out of your head. So please don’t go down that alley.'”
“So of course I was like, ‘I’m going down that alley, I wanna see what happens.’ Unfortunately, nothing happened. I kept walking up and down it going ‘Where are they?’ But nothing ever happened."
It just goes to show that the vast majority of threats made on the internet are nothing more than empty words from people nothing better to do. And if you throw shade at Christian Bale and threaten to meet him somewhere? Just be aware that he could well take you up on that offer. What happens from that point onwards is your own fault, my friend.
