'Better Call Saul': Bob Odenkirk Accidentally Spoiled The Show's Huge Twist Months Ago

Saul bad, man

Major spoilers for Better Call Saul follow. Seriously, I'm in awe at the size of these spoilers. Please do NOT read on if you haven't yet watched the show's midseason finale.

Better Call Saul's season six midseason finale ended with a whopper of a cliffhanger, and a grisly end for one of the show's longest-serving characters.

After years of mind games and pranks, Slippin' Jimmy looked on in horror as his long-term sparring partner Howard Hamlin took a bullet to head, courtesy of Lalo Salamanca.

It was a moment of shocking violence that perfectly marked the end of the first half of Better Call Saul's final season, and sends us hurtling headfirst into a truly unpredictable endgame in which Jimmy and Kim's world is now inextricably linked with the Cartel's vendetta.

Assuming it wasn't spoiled for you by those asshats that post plot details on Twitter hours after the show has aired (you know who you are), you likely joined millions of viewers in stunned silence as the credits rolled. Poor Howard. Sure, he was a bit of an ass, but he didn't deserve that!

As it turns out, though, Howard's shocking exit may not have been that shocking after all - at least for the more attentive viewers out there. Bob Odenkirk, who plays Jimmy/Saul, accidentally spoiled the big twist months ago! What's even more incredible is that very few people seemed to notice until now.

Last October, Odenkirk shared a picture of himself along with Howard actor Patrick Fabian on social media, praising Fabian's performance in the most recent episode they'd shot together. But as you can see below, Fabian still has bloody makeup around his head from his big death scene. Oops.

Fortunately it seems the mistake wasn't picked up by many people, as Odenkirk's post was never actually deleted. And now that the episode in question is out there? Odenkirk has copped to the error and admitted that he "screwed up". Well, nobody's perfect. Not even Saul Goodman.
