Yesterday (12 February) was the Super Bowl, and you know what that means. That’s right, loads of new trailers to get excited about! What do you mean it’s actually a sporting event?

As IGN reports, DC fans were in for quite a treat when the very first trailer for The Flash was shown. The film is set to release this summer, and it’s now been revealed that not one, but two Batman stars will be appearing in it.

There’s a lot to unpack here, so let’s get into it. As per the official trailer description, Barry Allen uses his powers to travel back in time in an attempt to save his family. Obviously, nothing could possibly be that simple, and things quickly go very wrong.

“Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to,” the description reads. “That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life.”

In the trailer, both Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck can be spotted as Batman, giving us the unofficial Batman: No Way Home shenanigans we always wanted. Oh, and Supergirl is there, too, along with a second Flash. As you can imagine, fans are very hyped.

“Seeing Micheal Keaton's Batman and Ben Affleck's Batman in The Flash is genuinely gonna be exciting. I'm stoked for The Flash movie,” tweeted @johnny_yip. “The return of Michael Keaton’s Batman including Batfleck. Two Batmans in one Flash movie. It can’t get any bigger than this!” wrote @SaurabhCinemuse.

The Flash is speeding to cinemas on 16 June.
