If you’re in the UK, we’re heading into yet another bank holiday weekend. They just keep on coming. That means one extra day to enjoy some gaming goodness, so allow me to tease an offering you don’t want to miss.

Of course, you don’t need an imminent three-day weekend to enjoy this gem. If you’re a fan of superhero games then you’re in luck because this may just be one of the greatest superhero games of all-time. I’m not talking about Marvel’s Spider-Man - although you can grab a free prequel ahead of the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, thanks to PlayStation. Today, I’m here to urge you to sample the very excellent Batman: Arkham Knight which PlayStation Plus users can grab for free for a limited time.

Speaking of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, take a look at the teaser trailer below.

This freebie is available to those of you with a PlayStation Plus subscription on a PS5 console. You should currently have access to the PlayStation Plus Collection. Essentially, this is a collection of some of the greatest PS4 games, allowing you to get up to date with the best of PlayStation on your new console. The thing is, PS5s aren’t new anymore so the collection will be disappearing for good on 9 May.

Batman: Arkham Knight is one of the titles included in that collection. Released in 2015 by Rocksteady Studios, the classic action-adventure title sees Batman go up against Scarecrow who, alongside the titular Arkham Knight, launches an attack on Gotham City. It is the fourth game in the Arkham series so if you dive straight into this game, there are a few plot points you’ll miss but if you’re a DC fan simply after some Bruce Wayne action, I have no doubt you’ll love Arkham Knight regardless.

The PlayStation Plus Collection works the same as the essential tier. If you download the title, you’ll be able to keep it forever so you have just 5 days to nab every game you’re interested in. We’ve recapped the full list of disappearing games which includes gems like The Last of Us Remastered, God of War, and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
