Assassin's Creed To Return in 2025 as Stunning New Reveal Drops

Play as Basim once more

Assassin's Creed Mirage's Basim returns once more as Ubisoft has officially unveiled a brand new DLC in the form of Valley of Memory in celebration of the title's second anniversary.

Valley of Memory just received a shiny new trailer, and it looks pretty good.

You may find it odd that DLC is arriving for Assassin's Creed Mirage when we've already moved on from the title to this year's Assassin's Creed Shadows.

Well, it's all to do with some official funding Ubisoft recently received.

Earlier this year, Ubisoft reached a deal with the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund, the national wealth fund of Saudi Arabia, which seemingly aims to diversify the nation's income sources.

Lately, the fund has taken a keen interest in the video game sector with $55 billion having just been spent on a pricey acquisition of EA.

The influence the Ubisoft deal has had on Valley of Memory is clear; the DLC will take players to the ancient city of AIUIa situated within Saudi Arabia.

The DLC was actually announced several months ago where it was confirmed that we'd receive new story content, missions, as well as gameplay improvements.

Now, however, the DLC expansion has been revealed in full.

You can view the brand new reveal below.

It's official. Assassin's Creed fans should mark their calendars for November because that is when the franchise is due to return with Assassin's Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory having officially set a release window.

We've now officially got confirmation that the DLC will be totally free to existing game owners, and has been developed by Ubisoft Paris and Ubisoft Bordeaux.

The new story arc sees Basim search for answers about his long-lost father Ishaq, taking place just before the concluding events of Assassin's Creed Mirage.

Great care has been taken to respectfully and faithfully bring AIUIa to life, with local, historical, and archaeological experts having provided assistance.

There are various new areas to explore including the city hub of AIUIa as well a lush nearby oasis amongst others.

Your journey will take you to the the necropolises of Hegra - and devs warn that the further you venture away from AIUIa and its central oasis, the more dangerous things will get with Basim having to fend off robbers and their fearless leader, Abis.

There are new side quests to enjoy including parkour challenges.

I will stress that devs refer to the DLC as their final bow so I'm assuming this is the very last piece of content we'll receive for Assassin's Creed Mirage. It looks as if the game is going out on a high.
