The American Horror Story fanbase is in shambles following the announcement that Kim Kardashian will be starring in the upcoming twelfth season.
Season 12 of American Horror Story is on track to release at some point this summer, although at the time of writing, we don’t know exactly when. Although the show has featured celebrity guest stars in the past (including Lady Gaga, who played the Countess Elizabeth Johnson in season five and the ancient witch Scáthach in season six), as UNILAD reports, many fans claim that they’re going to boycott the upcoming batch of episodes as a result of Kardashian’s involvement.

At this point, it’s not clear what role Kardashian will have in the show, but she’s apparently going to be “fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying”. In a statement released to The Hollywood Reporter, American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy said: “Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family. Emma [Roberts] and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.”

Despite Murphy’s enthusiasm, not everyone is sold on the idea: “Kim Kardashian starring? [What the f**k] did I just read? That’s the most horrifying part of the entire AHS franchise,” one fan wrote. “Really? Kim? Looks like I won’t be watching,” added another.
We still know very little about the twelfth season of American Horror Story, but it’s titled Delicate, so make of that what you will. It sounds like Kardashian could be a very prominent part of it, but hopefully a proper trailer will be released soon so we can get some greater clarity.
