In all fairness to Steam, it does a great job of hosting demos for games ahead of time, allowing the consumer to make an informed decision before they buy their next game.
Whilst these are obviously only ever available at the discretion of the developer, a lot go ahead with demos where they can, particularly if they have real faith in their upcoming release.
The next one up on that list is happily one of the most anticipated games of 2025, and it's shaping up to be one of the very best games of the year.
Little Nightmares III is the follow up to the first two releases of the same name, and it's set to pick up right where those two left off. Playing as the characters Low and Alone, you'll need both to work together in order to navigate the horrendous world they find themselves in. Low has range thanks to her bow, whilst Alone gets in close with a wrench and there are fundamental gameplay differences between the two.

Essentially, you'll need the skills of both to open up opportunities to progress through each map, with the environment being filled with clues to how to get to the next area.
The game eschews a combat focus in favour of players running and hiding for the most part. The world is filled with horrendous monsters who genuinely might scar your dreams, including a giant misshapen baby that chases the player and I can honestly say I have no desire to ever meet said baby.
The Digital Deluxe version grants access to the Secrets of The Spiral Expansion Pass (which includes two additional chapters), as well as the Ferryman Costumes Set, the Dark Six Costume Set and the Residents Costumes Set for your characters.
In even better news, if you pre-order any version of Little Nightmares III on Steam, you also get the Enhanced Edition of the first game totally free. That serves as one of the better remasters in recent times, and it's well worth revisiting ahead of the third games release on 9 October.

The demo offers 30 minutes of gameplay set during the games early throes and it should give more than enough of a glimpse at its world to know whether it's for you.
The full game will be available on Steam, as well as Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox, so you should be able to play regardless of your console preference.
