Red Dead Redemption 3 will be missing your favourite character, actor confirms

A sad day for cowpokes

If you’re looking forward to Red Dead Redemption 3 and seeing your favourite character again, you might want to lower your expectations.

Firstly, there’s no guarantee that we’ll see a third game in the series for a very long time, given that all manpower at Rockstar Games is going into GTA VI.

Can we have a new trailer for GTA VI now? I've seen this one so many times.

Then, we only have to look at Twitter to see that it’s unlikely that Arthur Morgan will be making an appearance. According to his voice actor, Roger Clark, that is.

When asked whether he would reprise the role of Arthur he said, “Don’t count on Arthur’s involvement either. His story has been told, I feel.”

This was in reply to whether Red Dead Redemption 3 was coming and whether Arthur would appear as a main character or a side character.

Let’s be honest, if Rockstar Games isn’t currently working on the project then nobody is going to know whether a character will appear or not.

And even if Roger Clark knew, he’s not going to leak it on Twitter for the world to see. That’s a quick way to lose work.

However, what he said is right, the story has been told. There’s no need to go back to that well.

There are plenty of stories to tell and Rockstar Games has never let us down in the past.

Of course, fans on Twitter had their own opinions.

One user really wants a prequel, saying, “Oh come on they HAVE to do a prequel! The start of the gang, WHEN Arthur first met Dutch. It would be amazing and everyone would love to see Arthur again!”

Another user remarked, “Arthur Morgan is very possibly the greatest character gaming has seen…”

The consensus is that everyone hopes GTA VI does its job and the team swiftly moves on to another adventure in the Wild West.
