Tokyo Games Show has been a bit of a boon for players of all consoles, with a ton of games showing off gameplay for the first time, even if they aren't officially at the show in any meaningful capacity.
Wolverine might currently be claiming all the headlines after a strong showing at the State of Play, but there are plenty of other major titles that are blowing peoples mind, if you know where to look.
One of those is Arknights: Endfield, an action RPG that has just opened pre-registration for its upcoming playtest on the PlayStation 5. The game itself will be totally free at launch, though be warned there will certainly be a microtransaction system to wrestle with along the way.
To mark that major milestone, the game also revealed a more extensive look at the gameplay over on YouTube, with a full walkthrough of the prologue across almost 15 action-packed minutes.

The comments were pretty pleased with everything the video showed off, and the game really could be a bit of a sleeper hit for the console when it launches in early 2026.
"From the flower field that was Theresa's experiment, to the statue of Patriot lowering his halberd, to Priestess's monument to dead civilizations, to Perlica quoting what the Doctor said to Kal'tsit. It's so peak..." one comment read.
"I really am looking forward to this game. You guys really are cooking. I can see the fluidity in how to combat plays, from I can tell it looks like it will “feel” good. Dodging looks clean, Perfect Dodge animation looks clean as well," another added.
Others noted just how much had changed from the earlier looks at the game, with one noting, "There seems to be a lot of minute changes from the demo alone. The dialogue, physics, some area seems to have background noises which seem to be memories of someone, but since we can't see anything, it's left to our imagination as to what's happening, and yes, a boss before even waking up. If this much has been changed from the opening alone, I wonder what else changed on the field itself. They still have time since the release is in 2026."

If you're watching the video and thinking about how much you'd like to give a go as soon as possible, head over to the game's official website and click the big yellow sign-up link to get access to the playtest.
As mentioned earlier, a full release is still a little way away, so that's going to be your best bet in the meantime.
