GTA 6 Devs Drop New Trailer Confirming New Partnership

For those who really want to roleplay in GTA

Grand Theft Auto V has been out for a long time now and it took on a bit of a life of it's own after most people moved on to playing the multiplayer experience, after completing the story several times over (me).

One of the most popular things to do in recent years has been to find a roleplay server that allows you to live your virtual life as you wish in the city of Los Santos, whether that be as a cop, paramedic, store worker or anything in between.

If you are into that kind of thing, then you've likely heard of NoPixel, one of the most popular places to go and play, with a strict focus on immersive RP. The server has a whitelist, so you shouldn't run across anyone trying to ruin the experience and there's a lot of players online, making the city feel considerably more alive.

It's little surprise, then, that the team behind the server has announced the next phase of the project with a trailer, and confirmation that the work is being done as an official collaboration with GTA V developer Rockstar Games.

As first reported by DSO Gaming, NoPixel V has been confirmed over on YouTube and, as part of their cooperation with the developer, it will now be available as part of the official Rockstar launcher, as well as "other PC platforms" (though what exactly those are remains unclear).

No further details have been revealed about what exactly this next phase will look like for the RP servers, but it already comes loaded with some impressive features that will be tough to improve upon.

Those include a suite of custom mods that add a ton of new jobs to the game, as well as additional items and ways to interact and build relationships with other players, including trading.

What the trailer did make clear is that streamers will be returning to this bespoke version of the game en masse, with Pokimane, xQc, Valkyrae, Squeex and Esfand all returning to the chaos of the streets of Los Santos.

Those names are a huge part of why the server became so popular in the first place, bolstering its popularity in the more uncertain early days.

No word yet from either Rockstar or NoPixel on when exactly players will be able to access this exciting next step for GTA V RP, but they have confirmed that it's "coming soon," so hopefully there shouldn't be too long to wait.
