WWE 2K26 receives a long-awaited major update that addresses a lot of the backlash from the community, making huge changes to its Ringside Pass and more.
Following its launch in March, the WWE 2K community became frustrated with the excessive Ringside Pass grind, a new feature introduced in WWE 2K26 that replaced traditional DLC. Like the common season pass, players would play the game, earn RXP to unlock new characters, arenas, cosmetics and more.
Sadly, that grind was not only too frustrating for many, but also gamers felt annoyed that some of WWE’s most popular Superstars, such as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, were not only locked behind the Ringside Pass, but it took too long to unlock them. Thankfully, many of those issues and more have been addressed with its latest update.
In terms of the Ringside Pass, starting today, all players will receive enough RXP to unlock 20 tiers for Season 1 without spending a penny. That being said, the developers have said that this may take 24 hours to come into effect.
What’s more, all players with a linked 2K account who have played WWE 2K26 before 14 April 2026 will receive enough RXP to skip the first 20 tiers of Ringside Pass Season 2.

That’s not all, because the required RXP to move to the next tier has been reduced from 800 to 625. Visual Concepts has also said that the required RXP for each tier will not increase in new seasons.
Finally, the last major Ringside Pass improvement is that all four featured DLC Superstars for each season of the Premium Pass will be available in Tier 1. So that will drastically reduce the grind to unlock new additions to your roster.

One of the most frustrating gameplay mechanics introduced in WWE 2K26 is the purple stamina meter. This meter is intended to reduce players from spamming reversals. However, this just drastically made the game far less enjoyable.
For example, when using a lower-rated WWE Superstar, the purple stamina meter might trigger every couple of reversal attempts. When this happened, not only were you unable to perform reversals when triggered, but it made the Superstar move very sluggish. To make matters worse, it felt like an age for this meter to cool down, all while the CPU continued to kick your defenceless backside.
Now, with Update 1.07, that dreaded purple stamina meter will now appear gradually later as the match goes on. Meaning that your Superstar won't become winded during the early stages of the match, and performing reversals will also cost less stamina.

While this patch by no means fixes every issue in WWE 2K26, it’s at least a great start and no doubt, the developers at Visual Concepts will continue to make the game a better experience for fans. You can read the full patch notes for Update 1.07 here.
