Where does Yoda’s species come from? It's a common question asked in the galaxy, far, far away.

The Star Wars universe is packed with some of the most popular characters in the entertainment industry, from Luke Skywalker to Princess Leia, Han Solo, Darth Vader, and many more. The list could go on.

Of course, one of the other most popular characters in the Star Wars universe is the legendary Jedi Master Yoda. This small, green badass instantly won the hearts of fans the moment he was first introduced to us in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back.

However, despite being loved by many Star Wars fans across the world, not much is known about his species or where they are originally from, a topic that has also been explored in the Disney Plus series The Mandalorian with Din Grogu, formally known by fans as “Baby Yoda”.

Thankfully, Star Wars fans on Reddit were able to provide some of the all-important details on everyone’s favourite little green alien.

“Is Yoda’s home world and species a secret to people in-universe as well?” asked Vavent. “I saw this question on Quora but wasn’t satisfied with the answer,” they continued.

“According to the complete visual dictionary, Yoda kept it an absolute secret. No one outside of his species would have any clue where to even start looking for them,” answered FluffyProphet.

“A great explanation as to what happened to Yaddle! She went to Yodaland looking for younglings,” joked Other-Bridge-8892.

So, there you have it, we still don’t know where Yoda is from - fantastic! And I somewhat doubt that'll ever change.

You can watch the entire Star Wars saga right now on Disney Plus.
