It turns out that there are quite a few old Jedi in Star Wars, and the eldest isn’t who we thought it was.
They say that age and wisdom go hand-in-hand, so it makes sense that the Jedi order is filled with quite a lot of older characters.
Obi-Wan Kenobi looked pretty old in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, but he was actually only 57 years old.
Meanwhile, you’ve got characters like Ki-Adi Mundi and Plo Koon who are probably a couple of centuries old, and of course, Yoda at 900 years old by the time of his death.

But it turns out that Star Wars has characters even older than Yoda, and the age difference makes him look like a child.
As fans pointed out on Reddit, there are even several characters within the Star Wars canon who are older than a thousand years.

“From the top of my head the oldest living one probably was that neti Jedi from Dark Empire, who took root on Ossus when it was first devastated and sat there for next four thousand years,” wrote one comment in the replies. “Next one probably would be Seleste Morne, who was kept alive in oubliette also for four thousand years from KOTOR comics to Rebellion era, and then with amulet of Karness Muur to the Legacy comics era.
“In new canon High Republic is full of long-lived jedi, with some suddenly becoming long-lived for those series - I don't really remember mirialans living for centuries until then. Porter Engle among other people is explicitly said to be centuries old, not clarified how many exactly, but enough to have several careers.”
Another fan added: “Shayato, his master, and his master's master were all really long lived. That last one is apparently 2000 years old.”
“Adding to the list Odan-Urr lived around a thousand years and would've probably lived more if not for Exar Kun's gamer moment,” wrote another fan.

Suddenly, Obi-Wan seeming so old at 57 years old doesn’t quite seem as bad now, does it? Still, at least the Jedi order didn’t discriminate when it came to the age of its members.
