Viewers only got a brief glimpse of Darth Plagueis in the closing moments of Star Wars: The Acolyte, leaving many of us wanting more, now we get to see more of the Sith lord.
A recent book release, and documentaries about the making of the show, have given fans a better look at Darth Plagueis and how he would have looked, had he been fully revealed.
We got a bit of an idea that the show’s creators were pulling from older Star Wars media, since removed from canon by Disney.
The Acolyte showed the master of Palpatine lingering at the mouth of a cave, barely any light falling on him, and his eyes burning from the darkness.

Over on Reddit, one user put together the concept art for Plagueis, showing his character model with better lighting, and another of him brandishing a red lightsaber.
He’s perhaps not as you imagined, given that we saw so little of him, but he’s supposed to look rather shocking, as the dark side of the force ravages his body.
Fans are pleased by what they saw, and it’s a shame that we might not get to see these designs come to fruition.
“These look awesome,” said Captain-Wilcom, “I’m glad they made him look a little more f**ked up and spooky in the show. His final design is amazing.”

Personally, the reveal of Plagueis being behind the events of the show was a huge highlight, and I was eager to see more.
It’s always been thought that he was pulling the strings for some time, and to think that he would have emerged from that cave and picked up a lightsaber fills me with excitement.
It’s just a shame that Disney pulled the plug on The Acolyte, but there’s always hope that they might revisit this character in the future.
