Spider-Man: Brand New Day is in the midst of filming; that’s no secret.
A quick trip to social media and you’ll be flooded with photos or videos of Tom Holland aura farming his way through the current Glasgow-based shoot.
In fact, some of the on-set photos would have you believe that the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is real.
Clearly, Brand New Day will see Peter take down a tank, although we’re in the dark as to who’s driving it.

Glasgow is standing in for New York City, and it seems director Daniel Destin Cretton is opting for practical swinging effects for the famed webslinger where possible.
MJ actress Zendaya has been spotted filming a scene alongside Holland at Aunt May’s grave with fans now desperate to catch a glimpse of Stranger Things star Sadie Sink who has reportedly joined the project.
While she’s rumoured to play Gwen Stacy, no such confirmation has been provided.
One insider has offered a new snippet of information, though, comparing Brand New Day to another beloved Marvel film.

This tidbit comes from MyTimeToShineH who said, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the biggest Spidey movie yet. Despite being more 'street-level,' it’s even been described to me as Captain America: The Winter Soldier for Spider-Man.”
It’s interesting that the film is set to be both street-level and enormous, but it’s perhaps easier than you think to see how that might work.
When we say ‘street level’, we’re probably not talking about a small-time fiend terrorising a couple of blocks of New York City.
I’m imagining that Spidey will be dealing with a city-wide thread, just simply one that doesn’t have any galactic links.

As such, it’s very possible we’ll see carnage wreaking across the city’s five boroughs.
As for that Winter Soldier comparison, well, we’re all aware that it’s one of the most beloved MCU instalments out there.
The Winter Soldier had a feeling of maturity, and it makes sense that we might see that in Brand New Day.
These young characters are maturing; they’re adults now.

This being said, I do have to urge you to take the tease with a pinch of salt as MyTimeToShineH isn’t exactly detailed when it comes to elaborating on his source.
What we’ve seen on set so far certainly bodes well though.
