The Marvel Cinematic Universe consists of multiple projects ranging from live-action television shows to movies, and animated shows.
As a result, some familiar faces tend to show up quite a bit and according to a recent summary by The Direct, the previous face of Marvel has now been overtaken by his cast mates.
RDJ first appeared in 2008's Iron Man. Check out its trailer below!
That leading face was, of course, Robert Downey Jr. who, since his first appearance in 2008’s Iron Man, has gone on to star in 11 different MCU projects, including the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday where he will take on the role of villain Doctor Doom.

Appearing in all three Iron Man movies as well as the Avengers saga and Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming, Downey Jr. has definitely been the face of Marvel up until now.
However, a few of his fellow superheroes have now officially pipped him to the post.
That includes Sebastian Stan, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, and Samuel L. Jackson.
Stan has starred in 12 MCU projects including his most notable roles in Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and most recently, Thunderbolts*.

On the other hand, Hemsworth has starred in 14 Marvel Studio projects including the Thor and Avengers sagas, as well as Doctor Strange, Loki, and What If…?
Evans, who has now stepped down as Captain America, managed to rack up 13 appearances across the MCU including cameos in Ant-Man, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Deadpool & Wolverine.
Last but not least, Jackson’s Nick Fury has been a cornerstone of the MCU over recent years and as a result, he has reportedly featured in 15 different projects which officially makes him the face of Marvel.

With Marvel’s Phase 6 about to begin, there is still time for Jackson’s number to be beat, especially with many beloved characters returning in the next Avengers saga.
