The Marvel Cinematic Universe is going to change a lot when Avengers: Secret Wars concludes, possibly through some sort of reboot.
Now it’s unlikely that things will start over from scratch like many have speculated but I wouldn’t be surprised if the multiversal war results in several universes combining into one continuity.
I can see the current MCU shifting to accommodate the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four and everyone else all at once allowing for more stories and crossovers over the following years.
Casting choices for the X-Men are being thought up by Marvel as we speak, so it’s interesting to hear that Colman Domingo is currently in talks with the studio for a role.

The actor said: “They literally sat down and said, ‘What do you want to do?’ And I said, ‘I don’t know. What do you got for me?’ So we’re having engagement.”
While Domingo wasn’t giving anything away there’s every chance an X-Men role is on the table, and fans know exactly who he should play on the big-screen.
On Reddit one fan said “Bishop!” which is an inspired choice and one we need to see happen, he’d be perfect for the role.
For those who don’t know who Bishop is, he's a time-traveller who travels back from the future to warn the X-Men of a coming threat, but gets stuck in the present temporarily becoming one of the team’s members. Fans may recognise him from the X-Men Animated Series and X-Men ‘97.
“I have no idea who Coleman Domingo is but if someone thinks he ought to be Bishop he must be awesome” replied another fan in the comments.
Another added: “This was my first thought! I'd love to see Bishop show up in the MCU and Domingo would be a good fit.”
He’d be a great addition to the cast, but it’s Colman Domingo, he’d smash any role in the MCU.
