It has been reported by Variety that there will be a new leader of the Avengers when Doctor Doom enters the MCU as the next big villain.
Many of us believed that Anthony Mackie’s Captain America would take on the leading role, much like Chris Evans did in past films, but it seems an MCU newcomer will instead lead the team.
In an exclusive report, it turns out that Mister Fantastic, played by Pedro Pascal, will become the head of the Avengers.
It makes sense, especially if Doctor Doom keeps his origins within The Fantastic Four canon, and I’m sure Marvel want to put the ever simmering Pascal in front of everyone.

Fans aren’t so sure on the selection, with some believing it to be a great choice, and others thinking it’s a snub to actors who have been in the picture much longer.
On Twitter, the conversation is picking up, and one fan leaps in to suggest that another legend should lead the team, saying, “Why not Doctor S trange?”
This is echoed by another fan, who said, “He wasn't even in the universe where the Avengers belong, and now he'll lead them? It should have been Dr Strange.”
Without seeing The Fantastic Four: First Steps, it’s hard to say why Reed Richards is chosen, there could be a massive connection between him and Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, much like in the Secret Wars comics.

Something noted by several Twitter users, with one saying, “People crying in the comment section never read Secret Wars comics.”
Plenty of fans are championing Spider-Man as leader, though it’s not lost on some that Captain America should always lead the team, with this comment pointing that out, “The Avengers should be led by Sam Wilson.”
It seems the fans are split, but I’m sure it will all make sense in the end.
