MCU fans just realising we've already had Avengers: Doomsday's first official teaser

Directed by the Russo Brothers too

Avengers: Doomsday’s first big teaser has already hit us, as Marvel fans are just now realising.

Marvel Studios began shooting Avengers: Doomsday back in April, and filming is expected to occur back-to-back with Avengers: Secret Wars over a six month period.

Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame directors The Russo Brothers are returning to the directors’ chair, and the cast includes the likes of Florence Pugh, Chris Hemsworth, and Anthony Mackie reprising their MCU roles.

Considering the large number of cast members joining the production, as well as the fact Doomsday is expected to be one of the biggest Marvel films in years, it makes sense as to why the film has just a large and extended production schedule.

Now, MCU fans have just realised that we’ve actually already had a pretty big teaser for the film, a good year-and-a-half before its expected release in cinemas.

We’ll put a spoiler warning here for Thunderbolts*, the latest Marvel film that hit cinemas back in May.

In the post-credits scene for Thunderbolts*, we cut forward a year later where the New Avengers intercept a distress signal from a spacecraft, presumably carrying the Fantastic Four.

Not only does this scene set up the beginning of Avengers: Doomsday, but since it was also directed by The Russo Brothers as opposed to Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier.

“Just remembered this scene is actually from Doomsday,” wrote one Marvel fan on X (formerly Twitter).

“I think there will be a very fun interaction between the Fantastic Four and the New Avengers,” another fan wrote.

However, it’s currently unconfirmed if the scene will actually appear in Avengers: Doomsday, or rather this was just placed in the post-credits scene for Thunderbolts* to tie the films together.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is the next film to hit the MCU, releasing in cinemas worldwide on 25th July, 2025.

As was the case with Thunderbolts*, expect a teaser for Avengers: Doomsday to appear during the post-credits scene.
