We’ve become so used to seeing Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool - and as the anti-hero prepares to step fully into the MCU, fans have wondered who else could play the role if Reynolds decided to step away.
That’s not to say that he will; Deadpool is an important role for Ryan Reynolds and has been a major highlight in his career.
This doesn’t stop fans from wondering who else would suit the foul-mouthed, quip-flinging, action-packed role.

So, who would be in the running if we needed a new MCU Deadpool? The top reply on Reddit is Sean William Scott, perhaps best known for his stint in teen movies like American Pie.
“This is the answer. Dudes funny as hell and shredded,” said Heinzlikeketchup.
His mention has made many see that the two actors are incredibly similar in their work and acting style.
“Absolutely, those guys have probably been stealing roles from each other for years,” comments Icy_Practice7992.

Another Ryan is put forward by redleg50, who said, “Ryan Gosling. He has very underrated comedic chops.”
Always Sunny in Philadelphia is mentioned a few times, with one fan saying that “Glenn Howerton” should have a shot at it.
This is pushed further by other Redditors mentioning Ryan Reynold's good friend, “Rob McElhenney,” who certainly has the skills, though he’d perhaps make for a good variant of Deadpool, alongside Reynolds.
There’s no doubting that Reynolds has been the perfect Deadpool, though, with one fan noting, “Ryan was obviously the best choice.”

These are all pretty great suggestions, and if the star ever wants to move on, the role would be in good hands with any of these picks.
However, if it were me, I’d have Deadpool’s daughter Ellie show up to carry on the legacy for a while, but who would play her in the MCU?
