MCU fans hyped for 'multiversal' Avengers lineup in Secret Wars

Marvel fans are hyped for the new Avengers that may appear in The Multiverse Saga as we head towards the release of Avengers: Secret Wars.

Marvel fans have been spoiled for the last decade or so. Sure, we’ve had a couple of bumps on the road (Eternals and Quantumania, I’m looking at you) but for the most part, we’ve been on one hell of a journey, throughout both The Multiverse Saga and The Infinity Saga, which came to an epic conclusion in 2019's Avengers: Endgame.

As we get closer to the end of Phase 5 of the MCU, which concludes with Thunderbolts* in May 2025, Marvel fans will be hoping that this beloved movie franchise will get back on track as we look ahead to new Avengers team-ups in 2026 and 2027.

At this time, we don't know exactly how the new Avengers will shape up but we can expect the likes of Thor, Spider-Man, Hulk, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, perhaps Scarlet Witch and more to return.

With that in mind, Marvel fans on Reddit have been speculating what the new Avengers may look like.

“If you could choose six current Avengers to lead the main team for Avengers: Doomsday and six multiversal Avengers to lead Avengers: Secret Wars, who would you pick?” asked BartSimpsonlover2389.

“I'd say Captain America (Sam), Black Panther (Shuri), Shang-Chi, Monica Rambeau, Doctor Strange, and Daredevil for part one,” replied No-Juice3318. “I'm not big on nostalgia cameos personally, so I don't really care who we see in Secret Wars.”

Reddit user CyclHavok went into more detail adding more than six beginning with Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye, War Machine, Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, Ant-Man, Scarlet Witch and Vision as main Avengers members.

They then highlight new Avenger recruits including Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Moon Knight, Shang-Chi, Daredevil, Cassie Lang and Monica Rambeau.

For good measure, Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four were added as allies as well as the Guardians of the Galaxy and some Eternals. Basically, every current popular hero of the MCU.

We’ll just have to wait and see what the new Avengers will look like in the not-so-distant future. The next MCU movie to hit the big screen is Captain America: Brave New World on 14 February 2025.
