Marvel fans heartbroken as beloved MCU hero killed off in new trailer

Say it ain't so!

A death of a fan-favourite MCU character has devastated the fandom.

Marvel likes shaking things up when it comes to the characters we know and love (or hate, depending on your stance).

With a classic villain making their MCU debut, there’s quite a bit going on behind the scenes right now, even if Marvel’s cinematic output is slower than usual.

All eyes were on Deadpool and Wolverine, especially with how close its release is. Yet now, all eyes are on one particular lady. Oh, and she’s a cunning one.

Agatha.

What has Agatha been up to? Watch the Agatha All Along trailer to find out

Since Marvel dropped the Agatha All Along TV trailer, fans have been chomping at the bit to delve back into her curious story.

However, few thought they’d be doing so after learning of a beloved MCU character’s death.

It was subtle – a blink and you might miss it moment – but the reveal that this character has met their demise has left fans heartbroken.

During the trailer, Agatha visits a crime scene in which the audience momentarily sees a corpse lying face down. It could be anyone, right?

Sadly, no. Later in the teaser, we see the deceased identified as “W. Maximoff”.

This isn’t the only hint that our dear Wanda, however misguided she sometimes is, has died, but there’s also the blackened form of the victim.

After the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, her body being in such a sorry state makes sense; she did use the Darkhold, after all.

Many of the dots are connecting here, yet not all fans are convinced Wanda is gone.

“I’m calling it, Wanda is not truly gone,” posted YouTube user @coolbrickz657, to which 191 others have liked the response.

Whether they’re right remains to be seen; Agatha All Along doesn't air until 18 September.

However, with Marvel known for bringing the dead back to life, so to speak, Wanda may return to us yet. We certainly hope so.
