Being an MCU fan is hard.

Not only do the the films and TV shows not always meet expectations, but beloved characters can kick the bucket before you’re ready to say goodbye.

The latter is what some Marvel fans are grappling with now that a hero has officially been killed off.

We say “some” because there are those who welcome the end of this character’s MCU stint.

Much like many superheroes, this one is polarising for a variety of reasons.

As @Ryanm7288 explained, “It's weird because one character was so underused that it was annoying, and the other was so overused it was annoying.”

They’re referring to Captain Carter.

Not only did they die in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but they’ve also been killed off in What If...?

Despite multiple universes co-existing, Captain Carter doesn’t seem able to catch a break.

For some, this is welcome news.

“She died in What If...? Thank god, I couldn't stand her in the part of the show that I managed to watch,” remarked @thedeadpoolfyou.

Others, however, hope that she returns somehow.

“I really hope that the TV show Agent Carter comes back again,” said @GayAliBabaShow.

User @OnlyAgent8 added, “I don’t care what y’all say, I loved Captain Carter.”

Another said, “They don’t want women with power.”

As you can see, there are just as many fans who are sad to see Captain Carter go as there are those who are happy the character has been laid to rest.

Given how well the new Scarlet Witch has gone down, we doubt fans will be torn up about this loss for long.

After all, there are so many other MCU developments to get annoyed about.

Returning to Captain Carter for a moment, it would seem their time has come to an end.

Though sad, who knows what the future will hold, or what multiverse scenarios may appear...
