Marvel fans have been discussing a heartbreaking scenario of an MCU death that we’re quite simply not ready for.
Marvel is not scared of smacking us across the face with the corpse of one of our favourite comic book characters. I won’t go into spoilers here but if you Google the death of a popular Marvel character, the chances are that you’ll find at least one related story.
Check out the Daredevil: Born Again teaser in the trailer below!
In 2015, Netflix graced us with what I still consider to be the best Marvel live-action TV series ever, Daredevil. Charlie Cox Matt Murdock aka Daredevil was perfect casting, and so too was Vincent D'Onofrio Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin.

Even Matt Murdock's loyal friends and work colleagues Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) and Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) at the independent law firm ‘Nelson and Murdock’ are perfect. Oh, and we were also introduced to Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle aka Punisher.
Not to mention that for the three seasons that Daredevil was on Netflix, it was supported by high-octane action and compelling storytelling. So imagine our anger when the series was suddenly cancelled in 2018.
Thankfully, all three seasons of that Netflix series are available to stream right now on Disney Plus and in 2025, we can look forward to Daredevil: Born Again with all the popular actors reprising their roles.
Naturally, fans are hyped for Daredevil: Born Again and have been discussing what its future may hold such as the morbid topic of beloved characters dying.

“Death of Karen or Foggy?” asked Redditor AcadiaAppropriate978. “I hate to say it, but I really think Matt will be able to get over Karen eventually.”

“He would be sad for a while and maybe he’d stop being Daredevil, but I feel like losing Foggy is gonna cause him to be super angry. I think the blow would be worse if Foggy died. Thoughts?”
“If Foggy died, Matt would lose it and go full Punisher on whoever was responsible. He wouldn't even go to confession,” replied msky1227.
“I think Foggy's death would have a larger emotional impact. I also think Karen has more potential as a character, given her backstory,” shatterhearts suggested.
“Karen is the one who died in the comics so I chose her,” said a devilish TheLivingTribunal666.

“Neither. From an audience perspective, killing them off would simply render them characters who were fridged for Matt's manpain,” said dmreif.
“Purely MCU speaking, both need to live because they each play integral roles in Matt’s life," replied FPG_Matthew.
Personally, I’d rather neither Foggy nor Karen die but at the same time, I know it’s always a possibility. So it might be worth getting ready mentally, just in case.
Daredevil: Born Again is expected to arrive on Disney Plus in March 2025.
