Marvel boss finally admits MCU character we all love is dead and gone

They are dead

Wanda Maximoff is definitely dead at least according to one Marvel exec. If you've chosen to forget that our favourite witch died, allow me to remind you.

We last saw Wanda, or Scarlet Witch, in the Doctor Strange sequel, Multiverse of Madness, where she brought down Mount Wundagore on top of herself.

Agatha All Along is currently showing on Disney+

We’d say that squashed by a mountain equals definitely dead. This has been confirmed by Mary Livanos in an interview about Agatha All Along with The Hollywood Reporter.

When asked about the fate of Scarlet Witch Livanos replied, “After the events of 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,' Wanda was taken off the table. So I think fans will have to tune in to find out more. That’s all I can say.”

Wanda has been mentioned several times in the latest MCU project, Agatha All Along.

While Marvel says she is dead, this is comic books and characters don’t stay dead. Especially when they’re as popular as Elizabeth Olsen.

Plus, with the upcoming Vision Quest show starring her love interest, we can’t imagine she stays off the table.

Olsen has been a popular star in the MCU since her first appearance in Age of Ultron and with Scarlet Witch being one of the most powerful heroes around, it’s hard to imagine she won’t be back.

Anything could happen and with Avengers: Secret Wars on the horizon, Earth may well need Wanda around.

Olsen has commented, “There's a couple different versions of what could happen” regarding her life and death in the MCU.

This suggests that her death will not be permanent, despite Marvel insisting she is dead and, we assume, gone for good.

Who knows what’s next, perhaps Olsen will appear in Vision Quest as Virginia, an android wife created by Vision in order to finally live alongside a loving family.
