Marvel fans braced for end of MCU as we know it in Avengers Doomsday

Everything must go

Marvel Studios is building up to something big with the next Avengers film, and it’s going to change everything.

Avengers: Doomsday, and of course Avengers: Secret Wars, are two of the most anticipated films of recent years and will likely give us battles we couldn’t have conjured up in our wildest dreams.

First we’ve got to watch a few more films before we get there, like Captain America: Brave New World

If the Marvel Cinematic Universe plans to adapt the comics the next two Avengers films will see heroes from multiple realities face-off on Battleworld.

It’ll likely be a fight for survival, as when the timelines clash they cause incursions which can completely eradicate one or both universes.

With that in mind fans are theorising that the films will conclude with several universes now out of commission, which is how we’ll get teams like the Fantastic Four in future films.

In a Reddit thread by cosmicbanterofficial it was said a leak on X claimed “about 6-10 different Earths” will clash resulting in plenty of cameos and heroes to duke it out.

Fans obviously took this wild claim and ran with it, with one commenter saying we’ll probably see the Fox universe, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s respective Spider-Man universes, the Fantastic Four: First Steps universe and obviously many more.

Who will survive and who will perish is another question, though it’s also been rumoured that the MCU will be rebooted after Avengers: Secret Wars, in order to bring the X-Men into the fold without having to explain where they’ve been for the last decade.

Unfortunately we have no idea what Marvel Studios has planned, and with so many changes recently it seems like the studio is only just getting a handle on it itself.

Whatever happens though it’ll surely be absolute cinema, and a spectacle worthy of the heroes it’ll crossover.
