One of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s best heroes is being subtly swept under the rug, and fans are devastated.

While many would say the current Marvel films have taken a nose-dive in terms of quality, even Deadpool & Wolverine took a jab at it, there have been some banging additions to the franchise following Avengers: Endgame.

Do you think Captain America: Brave New World will be one of those additions? Decide for yourself with the trailer below

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was a fantastic film, possibly because it kept itself away from all the multiversal madness being set up in the other superhero flicks.

While a sequel is potentially on the cards, the martial arts hero was supposed to play an important role in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, but as I’m sure we’re all aware that’s not happening anymore.

With Jonathan Majors axed as the MCU’s big bad, our heroes will now be facing Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday, who in a shocking turn of events will be played by Robert Downey Jr.

The story for the next Avengers film has presumably been drastically rewritten to accommodate the new villain, so where that leaves Shang-Chi and the other characters who were supposed to make an appearance is unknown.

No doubt he will appear in some capacity, maybe as part of a team in Secret Wars, but whether he has a lead role similar to what he would have had in Kang Dynasty is anyone’s guess.

As you’d expect fans are disappointed with this potential reality, with one saying the rings and Ms Marvel’s bands were “probably integral pieces to the storyline that we will sadly never see.”

“They should've just continued with Majors or made a recast,” said another fan.

The future of the MCU is officially up in the air, as the next Avengers film now has massive stakes to deliver a spectacle as big as Avengers: Endgame was.
