The unlikely duo are back

With the movie recently surpassing $1 billion globally in the box office, it is safe to say that fans are loving this new entry, so it is no wonder they are eager to learn if there will be more.

Originally planned to be Deadpool 3 before turning into Deadpool & Wolverine by director Shaun Levy, a recent report reveals that Wolverine’s appearance in the Multiverse is far from over.

According to a trusted insider for Disney and Marvel MyTimeToShineH, the 55-year-old Jackman is set to stay as Wolverine after Avengers: Secret Wars.

Not only that, he and Reynolds wish to make more Deadpool movies together in the future. Deadpool & Wolverine 2 anybody?

However, it is now up to Marvel President Kevin Feige to give those plans the green light and with countless Marvel projects in the works, it may be a while before we see a sequel.

Regardless, fans are still excited with the possibility and took to Twitter to discuss the news.

“Let's f**king go,” one comment read. “Thank you Marvel Jesus for giving us Hugh Jackman back.”

Another read: “You could see how much fun they had together. It made the movie great.”

With fans eager for Hugh Jackman to reprise the role until he is 90, it seems the Australian actor has a busy few years ahead.

As mentioned, it is set to be an exciting few years for MCU fans as many beloved characters are set to make a return to the screen.

However, with Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. stepping down as Captain America and Iron Man respectively, it remains to be seen how the next generation of actors will carry the torch.
