Deadpool & Wolverine fans surprised by new teaser

It's still going strong

I didn’t think I’d be saying this, but a new trailer has landed for Deadpool & Wolverine.

Why? I hear you ask, given that the film landed back in July.

Well, it’s incredibly still showing in cinemas, and clearly Disney wants everyone to be aware of that fact as we approach Halloween.

“Do hugh like scary movies?” asked the official Deadpool Instagram account.

“Deadpool & Wolverine is still in theatres. Get tickets now,” it continued alongside the grim new trailer focusing on the film’s spookier and more unsettling elements.

“This halloween season, see the movie that just won't die. It’s got skeletons, zombies, vampires, costumes, and whatever is going on here,” the trailer itself jokes.

ICYMI: The trailer for Thunderbolts* has finally landed. Take a look below.

I can’t stress how impressive it is that Deadpool & Wolverine is still screening three months after its release.

Several years ago, that wouldn’t have been all that surprising or uncommon but streaming releases have decimated cinema figures in recent years - a problem exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic.

With many films landing on streaming services in a matter of weeks, more and more people are passing up the opportunity to go to the cinema.

With cinematic flops, we’re seeing digital availability in record time.

Borderlands launched in cinemas on 8 August and by 30 August, it was available to purchase and watch digitally at home.

The film distribution industry is a lot more volatile than it once was so it’s great to see that Deadpool & Wolverine has swerved that pitfall.

In fact, it now holds the 12th position on the list of all-time highest-grossing films at the US domestic box office.

I’m imagining that its theatrical distribution lifespan is nearing its end though.

Deadpool & Wolverine will surely hit Disney Plus in the coming months.

The Marvels landed on the service in February of 2024 after having launched in cinemas in November of 2023.

That’s a span of four months, so Deadpool & Wolverine could feasibly land soon.

Otherwise, here’s your last chance to catch the film in cinemas.
