We didn't see this coming

Marvel fans have had plenty of excitement of late, so what’s a little more?

With the reveal of the Avengers: Doomsday logo, another potential Marvel comeback has been teased by an OG Avengers actor.

It’s the era of comebacks, apparently.

We all saw the Doctor Doom announcement that sent the internet into overdrive, but there was another villain reveal that’s worthy of note.

Speaking of Marvel, are you ready for Blade's return?

This was our first look at one of the MCU’s biggest villains, and so many of us missed it because we were too focused on Robert Downey Jr’s return.

Another teaser you might have missed comes from actor Jeremy Renner, aka Hawkeye.

After the teaser for Avengers: Doomsday was unveiled, Renner shared the image on his Instagram.

Having seen said post, fans believe it’s a sign that Hawkeye is returning to the MCU.

We went to check out the post for ourselves, but it isn’t there anymore, unfortunately.

Nonetheless, the fact that it was there has rallied the fandom.

Twitter user Beniamino Bradi commented, “It looks like everyone's gonna be doing this ‘til their 90 and I'm all for it!”

They could be onto something there.

Despite all the gut-wrenching deaths we’ve cried over, nobody is truly dead in the MCU, not if there’s money to be made.

And a new story to tell, of course.

“Avengers don’t lose when Clint is in the starting lineup,” posted another fan.

However, while the majority are psyched for this return, there are those who don’t think Renner’s post is confirmation of anything.

“I don’t think that rly confirms anything,” argued Ty, “but he’ll definitely appear in at least one of them.”

There’s always one, eh?

In all seriousness, a social media post isn’t confirmation; however, it would be weird to post it without having some connection to the film.

Even if it’s just a brief cameo, surely Renner must be involved...?

Marvel is coming back in a big way whether you like it or not – you can either buckle up and enjoy the ride, or prepare to be frustrated as every new tidbit of information leaks.

We know which option we prefer the sound of.
