Blade, Black Panther Team Up In New MCU Trailer

We've waited a long time for this

I can’t believe it’s finally here; Marvel has dropped the long-awaited trailer for Marvel Zombies, and it’s beyond what we could’ve hoped for.

What If..? was an interesting series in the sense that its episodes either ended up being wholly engrossing or complete and utter slop.

Arguably the series’ best episode came in its first season, ‘What If… Zombies?!’

Based on the comic book line of the same name, the episode brought the Avengers face-to-face with a zombie apocalypse.

Whilst some of our favourite heroes succumbed to the infection, others sought out a cure.

Well, the story will now continue in Marvel Zombies, a new animated series which has been in development for the best part of four years.

Consisting of just four episodes, Marvel Zombies picks up where ‘What If… Zombies?!’ left off, following a group of survivors as they attempt to survive this timeline’s endless zombie onslaught.

The series boasts an incredibly exciting cast with many MCU favourites returning, including Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch which I’m sure is something that’ll delight many.

The series also marks the return of Blade, a character who’s having a tough time in the MCU.

Blade very briefly made a small cameo in What If..?’s series finale in a Moon Knight get up but the character hasn’t really been explored yet in the MCU.

As we’re all familiar, the Blade live-action film has been stuck in development hell for ages now, so goodness knows if we’ll ever see it made.

By the looks of it, it’s that Moon Knight iteration that’ll be returning here as Blade seems to be in possession of the power of Khonshu.

This isn’t your chance to finally see Mahershala Ali in the role though.

Instead, the famed Day Walker is being brought to life by Todd Williams.

Weirdly, Williams replaced Ali as the character Titan in Invincible so the duo do appear to have strangely linked careers.

As for when you can watch Marvel Zombies, it’ll finally debut on 24 September, so there’s not too long to wait - and it looks as if all four episodes will be landing at once.
