An unexpected slip-up points to an MCU return for Avengers: DOOMSDAY, and it could mean trouble for a lot of people.
In a recent interview, actor Steven Sater was asked about seeing Joe Locke in London, and let it slip that he didn’t because Locke is “doing a Marvel movie.”
He is quoted saying, “I didn't see him, I didn't reach out. I know he's doing a Marvel movie, and he's doing 'Heartstopper,' so he's been crazy.”
We only know of one Marvel movie currently filming, and that’s Avengers: DOOMSDAY, which points to Locke likely returning as Billy Maximoff, also known as Wiccan.

If true, and we can’t see why it wouldn’t be, then the appearance of Wiccan could potentially lead to some hefty consequences for the MCU.
Allow me to speculate. Doctor Doom, the big bad villain at the end of this saga, is a magic user, and could potentially end up looking for other magic users.
He will need a monumental amount of power to merge the MCU timelines and universes, which is supposedly his plan, and I’m sure he’ll want to rule over the one eventual timeline.
We may see that he needs more than his own powers, which mirrors the Secret Wars comic book series, where he used Beyonder to aid in his plan.

We don’t have Beyonder in the MCU and only three characters could provide the power needed, The Sentry/Void, Franklin Richards, and Scarlet Witch.
What if Doom plans to find Wiccan, who will lead him to Wanda - currently stuck under a mountain but not confirmed dead - and use him as bait to force Wanda to help merge the timelines.
In fact, he could sweep in and force all three to work together, with Loki, the Fox X-Men, and the Avengers trying to stop him.
Or he’ll just show up to start putting together the Young Avengers, either is fine.
