Fallout Season 2 is officially underway and with fans eager to be back in the live-action wastelands, eagle-eyed viewers may have just noticed a familiar looking prop.
Airing back on 16 December, Prime Video’s Fallout began its second season with new episodes set to air weekly through to 4 February 2026.
As the highly anticipated sequel to its first season which launched back in 2024 to critical success, Prime Video’s live-action adaptation is set in the beloved Bethesda RPG universe, following Vault Dweller Lucy (Ella Purnell) as she embarks on a journey to find her kidnapped father.
Joined by Aaron Moten as Maximus and Walton Goggins as The Ghoul, Fallout was an instant success, so much so that its third season was officially greenlit by Amazon even before season two had aired.

However, season two is now underway with three episodes under its belt and it is in one of these episodes that some eagle-eyed viewers noticed a familiar piece of set design.
“Fallout TV showrunners accidentally(?) referenced a fanmade map with fanmade locations.” the post over on r/Fallout reads, alongside images of the original fan map compared to the one featured in the show.
In the original fan-made map created by u/Polakp on Reddit, “Siri’s Town” is used as a placeholder based on dialogue from Siri, an NPC starring in Fallout: New Vegas.
However, it now seems as though “Siri’s Town” is a canon location in the Fallout universe as it has now been featured on a map in the official television show.
“Siri never names the town, but it seems the showrunners cross referencing "Siri's Town" is the smoking gun. They directly referenced Polakp's map with a few changes and didn't check to see if it was a real place,” the original poster continued.
Is "Siri's Town" Now Canon?

Not only that but the in-show map also seems to feature locations from both the first Fallout instalment and Van Buren, the codename that Black Isle Studios used for the second iteration of Fallout 3 ahead of its cancellation.
However, as for whether locations such as Siri’s Town are now canon in the Fallout universe has been left down to fan discussion.
“Using fanon made stuff doesn't automatically canonize it, but sometimes it does end up becoming canon,” one user suggested.
“There are a few ships from Star Wars that started as fanon and then became canon this way. Up in the air until Bethesda says otherwise.”
“I kinda love this” another user added.
“I'll take it as just a nod to the community.
Now if I see a No Mutants Allowed sign on a shop or something…”
The next episode of Fallout Season 2 airs on 7 January 2026.
