breaking news

It’s almost time to venture back into the wasteland, as Fallout has dropped a full trailer for its upcoming second season.
It was back at this year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live that Prime Video dropped the initial teaser for the season, offering fans a glimpse at the TV show’s version of New Vegas.
I was lucky enough to be in attendance at the show, and it was a special moment seeing Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Johnathan Nolan step out on that stage.
The short trailer offered us our first proper look at iconic Fallout: New Vegas character Robert House, portrayed by Justin Theroux, and even wrapped up with a quick glimpse at a Deathclaw.

It’s within New Vegas that Lucy (Purnell) will seek out her dad with some help from The Ghoul (Walton Goggins).
“What is she gonna do when she finds her dad? Is she gonna bring him justice or wasteland justice? The ghoul’s justice… Will Lucy transform the Ghoul or will the Ghoul transform Lucy?” Ella previously said to the Opening Night Live audience.
In the newest trailer, we see much more of what Lucy and The Ghoul get up to with Lucy describing New Vegas as a “den of monsters”, giving some idea as to the type of chaos that’s in store in the new location.
You can view the trailer below.
What is standing out to me there is that the trailer almost makes it look as if Mr. House is still alive and to provide some context, Prime Video's Fallout is set after the events of Fallout: New Vegas.

In that title, there are multiple endings and, spoiler alert, Mr. House does not survive several of them, so it certainly looks as if Season 2 might be canonising some things, straying away from the Yes Man and NCR options which is pretty darn juicy.
Of course, I could be misreading this. Perhaps Mr. House appears exclusively via flashbacks. We don't know.
It also appears as if the trailer might be teasing the arrival of a Super Mutant; could we be taking a trip to Jacobstown?
When can I watch Fallout Season 2?
Whilst Season 1 dropped as a batch, Fallout’s second season will roll out on a weekly basis.

Episode 1 will premiere on Prime Video on 17 December; there are eight episodes in total, with Season 2 drawing to a close on 4 February.
Yes, that means we’re getting almost two months of Fallout hype. I much prefer a weekly rollout for that very reason.
It generates discussion, and I feel we were all happier back in the days of discussing our weekly Game of Thrones theories.
Binge-dropping TV shows takes away all of the fun.

As for who’s joining the cast this season, we’ve got the aforementioned Justin Theroux as Mr. House and Macaulay Culkin as a “crazy genius-type” unnamed character.
