Macaulay Culkin has issued a cryptic, two-word teaser on his official Instagram ahead of his appearance in Amazon’s Fallout TV series, and it may shed some light on the true nature of his mysterious role in the story.

Episode two of Amazon’s Fallout TV series is out… and this article won’t contain any spoilers about it, don't worry!

It’s Christmas Eve, anyhow. Many of us will be away from our streaming services doing boring stuff like hang out with my loving family (joking if you're reading, mum). So, unfortunately, watching the most hype TV show of 2025 - sorry, Stranger Things - is going to have to wait.

Thankfully, I did some light research, and it would seem that Macaulay Culkin’s mysterious Caeser’s Legion character hasn’t popped up in the second episode of Fallout yet, which probably goes some way to explaining the cryptic message that he just posted on Instagram.

As you can see for yourself below, Culkin’s post has two interesting bits of info.

Firstly, the 'December 31st' bit seems to be implying that he’ll finally be popping up in the third episode of Fallout, so at least we can say that 2025 is going to end on a high note.

More interestingly, though, the post also contains the Latin phrase “cedo nulli”. Now, my Latin isn’t the best, but thankfully a quick Google tells us that this translates to “I yield to no one”.

Apparently this is a phrase attributed to a Dutch fella by the name of Desiderius Erasmus in the 1500s, but I’m going to take a guess that the meaning of the phrase is more important in this context than whoever coined it.

It could potentially be a hint towards whoever Culkin is supposed to be playing in the series, as all we truly know at this point is that he’s (seemingly) a member of the Caeser’s Legion.

However, I have a theory. Deadline previously stated that Culkin will be playing a “crazy genius-type character” in Fallout, and while many assumed that this may mean that he’ll be playing Arcade Gannon… I think it’s a hint towards him playing the fan-favourite character Fantastic.

Depending on your choices in Fallout: New Vegas, Fantastic can actually end up joining Caeser’s Legion if you side against the NCR in the quest That Lucky Old Sun.

Culkin does kind of resemble Fantastic too, plus I think it would just be really funny if they made his allegiance with Caeser’s Legion canon.

Only a week left until we find out for sure, so you can set a timer to come back here and call me dumb if I’m wrong.
