A new surprise Fallout release is being roasted by fans for its quality, with one even saying it “looks like garbage”.

The Fallout series is in an interesting place right now. For years, it seemed like Bethesda had all but turned its back on the franchise for the time being while it focused on The Elder Scrolls 6.

But with the success of Amazon’s Fallout adaptation on Prime Video, coupled with the fact that we may be getting new Fallout games and DLC quite soon, it seems like the series is back in a big way.

This also extends to merchandising and other products that are centred around the franchise, but one release in particular is getting roasted by fans for not looking as great as they were hoping.

A new McFarlane Toys figure based on Lucy from the Fallout TV series is getting some strong criticism online for its alleged poor quality.

The figure includes Lucy and her canine companion Dogmeat, as well as her handgun and a Vault 33 bag as accessories.

“That looks like garbage,” wrote one fan on the Fallout Reddit page. “They can do so much better but lowest bidder so this is what they get.”

“I'm so glad I'm not the only one utterly shocked and disappointed by this monstrosity of an 'elite' figure,” wrote another comment.

“Dogmeat is looking more like Dead Meat right now,” a third commenter quipped.

Having looked at the promotional images for myself, yeah, I can see why this is getting some hate online.

Lucy’s face looks particularly odd, her left hand is rather big, and Dogmeat has a weird glow to her that makes her look radioactive (to be fair, not entirely out of character for this series).

It’s retailing for about £45 with an estimated shipping date of January 2026, according to the McFarlane Toys official website.

That’s pretty cheap all things considered, but still, customers should be expecting more of a higher quality when it comes to releases like this, especially when it’s being marketed as an “Elite Edition”.
